Chris has been playing music for over 40 years. During that time he has played or studied composition, guitar, bass, trombone, voice, baritone horn, ukulele, and some piano. He received a B. A. in Music Composition as well as a single subject music teaching credential from Cal State East Bay in 1991 and 1992.
Chris has a Kodaly Music Education certificate from Holy Names College in Oakland. He also has a Bass Performance certificate from The Player's School of Music in Florida. Chris taught for seven years in the Hayward Unified School District as a vocal music instructor where his duties included teaching classroom music for first through fourth grade and honor choir for fifth and sixth grades.
In 1999 Chris began teaching privately. He also maintains a regular performance schedule with various Bay Area artists, and continues to compose and record original music when time permits.
